#Covid19Lessons, so far…
Based in the beautiful city of New York transformation states that sustainability is at the core of everything it goes. But is that really the case?

- There are no borders; they are 100% imaginary.
- Mother nature is not our enemy. Please stop calling it a War. It is a Call to Wisdom. We MUST join forces with mother nature.
- Medical care workers are not Warriors. We are Harmonizers attempting to restore the innate balance to your bodies and the world.
- What you do outside of the medical system has a huge impact on how hard your doctor or treating clinician has to work, not only now, but always. It’s a partnership.
- Health and well-being is not only an individual responsibility, it is intertwined with our fellow living beings.
- With social distancing, medical care workers could become the new “untouchables”. Let’s make sure we don’t repeat that mistake.

- Many, (could I be so brazen to say most?) decisions are made with insufficient data.
- It’s an interesting paradox that as people infected with Covid19 can lose their sense of smell, clinicians attending to patients by video chat aren’t able to employ our sense of smell as part of our clinical assessment, whether we do it consciously or subconsciously. #ScentMatters
- Touch is an essential diagnostic and therapeutic tool for healers that is not available by video chat. Between smell and touch, a video consultation is missing 2 of our 7 faculties. {Well, actually 3 out of 7, but we no longer use taste as a diagnostic tool (back in the bad old days, physicians might taste a patient’s urine to diagnose diabetes), and we never used it as a therapeutic one. } #TouchMatters
- Primary Prevention: Shelter in Place (temporarily), Wash Your Hands, Don’t Touch Your Face, Physical Distancing, Work From Home, Eat Your Vegetables (5-8 a day), Exercise Daily (at least 30 minutes), Relax Your Mind-Body System, Get Fresh Air and Sunshine Daily, Avoid Intoxicants (including smoke, alcohol, drugs, pesticides, pollutants)….
- Secondary Prevention: Testing with an Accurate Test
- Tertiary Prevention: Oxygen, Hospitalization, Intensive Care Unit, Medications
- Wear a Mask 😷 (it stops your own spittle from spewing forth too far, and stops you from touching your mouth and nose)
- The Jains were on to something with their tradition of wearing masks.
- #ShelterRequired for #ShelteringInPlace #HealthInequities
- We simply cannot test 7.53 billion people. We would virtually drown in the plastic waste alone.
- We also cannot vaccinate 7.53 billion people with/against every contagious infectious disease currently known. We don’t yet even offer clean food, water, air, and shelter to everyone.
- Testing is not a cure. It offers data that can guide primary prevention measures, and tertiary care.
- We can test random cohorts to estimate prevalence, and to study asymptomatic carriers to further identify modifiable factors that contribute to resistance and resilience. #HostResistanceMatters
- Working from home, if you can, has its pros and cons.
- Working From Home is a privilege which offers time for more important and creative things in life besides commuting. If you are working from home, enjoy your “#Workation”

- Planetary Air Quality appreciates you Working From Home. “PAQ❤️WFH” #PAQLovesWFH
- You can love the people you live with and drive them nuts at the same time.
- Working from home can remind you of your loneliness and isolation.
- Germ Bonding is a real thing; it is OK to enjoy the company of those with whom you are #GermBonded.
- It feels good to get off your screen, go outside for a walk, and look up at the sky.
- It feels good to actually talk to someone with your mouth, not just by text.
- If you need someone to talk to there are #hotlines and #warmlines. They want to talk to you as much as you want someone to talk to.
- #LaughterIsContagious. Even from a distance. #LaughterIsGoodMedicine #CopingWithHumor
- It is possible to entertain yourself very well after all. There’s an explosion of creativity and self-expression happening now. What a gift!
- Improvisation is an essential life skill. Every single day is unpredictable and unchoreographed. Life is always throwing us curve balls we’ve never encountered before. #LifeIsImprovised
- Wash your hands! Don’t touch your face! You can touch other parts of your body. And then wash your hands again! 😉
- You survived not running around and about so much. You survived by not running around and about so much.

- 🙏Greeting others with a Namaste is here to stay.🙏
- Humans likely use olfactory information to communicate much more than we understand. Scent informs and influences our relations, well beyond libido. This is relevant to our choices going forward about how we choose to use our digital technology to relate to each other. #PhermonesMatter
- Touch is a critical aspect of our well-being. Without touch we wither. Remember and return to touching, hugging, kissing, etc., etc., when we get through this. In the meantime, you can keep connecting through touch with your germ bonded people. #TouchMatters
- We can create a new, better social-political-economic system that is equitable, just, and sustainable. This is our opportunity to start almost from scratch. How would you start?
- Our current system is remarkably fragile, malignantly co-dependent, and heart-breakingly unforgiving. We need an economy with more cushion, leeway, and resilience.

- Reduce your dependence on store bought produce— grow your own where and when you can.
- Reduce your dependency on toilet paper —clean your bum with water. And then wash your hands!
- Take notice of what shook us enough to interrupt our global economy, and why? We know:
- 2200 children under the age of 5 years die every single day for lack of clean water, over decades;
- 137 females are killed by a family member, every single day, for decades;
- 109 people die of gunshot wounds every day in the USA;
- 250,000 people die of medical errors in the USA every year;
- Unimaginable, uncountable deaths from war…..
All these deaths, and more, and the accompanying suffering, are perfectly preventable, with collective imagination, will, and attention. What was/is it about Covid19 that made us STOP the train?

- Be prepared for future epidemics or pandemics by building up your resistance and resilience now. It accrues over time, and needs consistent maintenance.
- Resistance and resilience are individual and collective responsibilities.
- We must graduate from addressing our health on a disease by disease basis to fortifying our resistance and resilience against many illnesses simultaneously.
- #LoveIsContagious. Even from a distance.
- We must keep in mind, going forward, how we want to enjoy life. We must prioritize our individual and collective values. Where does fear of death rank compared with joy of living?
- Finally, let us remember that in the cycle of life, which goes round and round, “dying is absolutely safe“, to quote Ram Dass, even if often uncomfortable; “death is a portal to love“, so eloquently put by Charles Eisenstein; and death is not the end, but simply a continuation of the life cycle. As I like to say, in all the universes of universes, there is only life changing forms.
